Winter-to-Spring Outfit
While we are still in the midst of Winter, I for one am looking ahead to Spring. I’m ready to lift off some of these layers and incorporate some brighter colors and tones into my wardrobe. So during this Winter to Spring transition, I am starting to incorporate some pieces that I can wear now, but that will also work for the upcoming season. Versatility is key to getting the most use out of your clothing, especially during these in between times. I thought that this look was a great example of just that.
Off-The-Shoulder Sweater
Sweaters are an obvious staple during the Winter season and a must-have in your closet. However, a sweater with a twist not only gives a unique take on a traditional garment, but also opens up your options for styling. This off-the-shoulder sweater is the perfect Winter to Spring piece! The quality is great and is so comfortable to wear. I love how it gives a hint of skin that can really elevate any outfit.
I decided to contrast the deep olive of the sweater with crisp, white denim. White jeans are very Spring-like and really allowed the sweater to pop. To finish off the outfit, a neutral was necessary as not to compete with each of these elements. So a beige fedora with matching booties was the perfect compliment. I cannot tell you how many times that I have worn this fedora because it’s too many to count. It’s just such a great accessory to have to be that finishing touch. Really enjoyed the winter to spring look. It’s still very cold over here in the UK but there are a lot of sunny day and sometime finding an outfit that’s not too warm or too cold can be challenging. Big teddy coats or a waterfall jacket?… lol but your outfit combination would be great for the transitioning period here in the UK also. Could you advice what coat you would wear with this outfit also? X loved this! Thanks x
Kristine
Thanks so much! I think a teddy coat would look cute with this outfit as well! Then when you take it off, you have a nice little surprise with the off the shoulder.
