I feel as though at the beginning of each new month, I repeat the same phrase to myself. “It’s ______ already?!” In this case, I’m surprised once again that March is here and that we are practically a quarter through the year. Time is not waiting for anyone! The good thing about these months flying by is that we are inching closer and closer to Spring. Fashion is already fully immersed into Spring trends so it just makes the anticipation grow even fonder. Pastels, floral prints, and colored outerwear are all some of the popular styles going into the new season.
So, I’m dabbling into Spring with this floral ponte skirt from Torrid. In the words of Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada, “Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking!” We all know that floral print is not the most inventive pattern during this time of year, but how can you resist? It is just the quintessential symbol of the season. Since the skirt had some blush notes in it, I wanted to play off of that and bring it into the top and bag. It’s a very feminine look and the pink just adds to that overall aesthetic. Finally, I finished the outfit with some caramel colored pumps that are almost flesh toned as to know take away from the other elements. I’m ready for you Spring!
