It’s no secret that I love to play with colors and colorblock my looks. At this point, I think that I’m just trying to see how many different combinations I can come up with. The options seem to be never-ending and every time I think that I’ve tried it all, a new combination arises. There are so many different variations of hues that you can’t possibly try them all. Plus, there’s so much versatility in color and the ways in which you use it. I love discovering new ways to mix and match different shades to bring my outfits to life.
So let’s talk about these garments. This skirt is from Gabrielle Union’s line at New York & Company. Her and Eva Mendes’ line have been a favorite of mine for quite some time now. The styles are classic yet unique and always made of great fabrics that just conform to my curves. I actually bought this skirt in yellow a while back and wore it in this Instagram post. When I saw that it was available in blue for the Fall, I didn’t hesitate to snatch it up. It is incredibly comfortable and flattering to wear. The overlapping panel really helps to conceal the midsection in a very chic way. Plus the color is just to die for.
I decided to pair the skirt with this olive green bodysuit. It’s definitely a nod to Fall since olive is probably the quintessential color of the season. This earthy tone paired beautifully with the richness of the skirt, creating the perfect blend. I topped the look off with gold accessories and matching high heel sandals. Another colorblock for the books!

Beautiful! I’d love to recreate this look. I’m curious, what’s your dress size? I’m worried the shirt may not be a fit for me. I usually wear size 18.
