Oh ponchos, how I love you so. Your comfort and ease of wear make you one of my go-to pieces this time of year. This versatile garment can be worn by itself as I’ve have done or you can layer it with a turtleneck or long sleeve shirt underneath. Either way, they are a great staple to have in your wardrobe. I knew that I wanted to pair my poncho with over the knee boots. They were just so fitting to pair with this style. I also wanted them to pop so what better way to do so then with opposing colors. The white is a stark contrast to the suede black boots with the neutralizer being the gray top. They all work together to make one succinct outfit.
Check out below for other poncho styles that I’m loving as well as some tips for finding the best boots for you!
Poncho: Steve Madden | Jeans: Poetic Justice | Boots: Torrid (similar – see fit notes below) | Bag: DSW (similar)
*Fit Notes: These exact same boots from Lane Brant are no longer available. They do have an almost identical pair (just with a lower heel) found here offered in different colors. My calf circumference is an 18 – 18.5″ and even though the calf circumference for the Lane Bryant boots says 17″, they do stretch and fit very comfortably even with denim as you can see. The Torrid boots that I linked above are obviously not the same pair but they are black if you are trying to achieve this same look. Torrid lists the calf circumference by size in the “Details” portion which is EXTREMELY helpful and takes the guessing game out of trying to see what we will and won’t fit. They also have a heeled lace up boot if you prefer that over a wedge and a flat boot.

Kristine this look is on point. The color contrast just gave me a new idea. I usually do black and grey. But I am going to add white. Thanks
