Hey ladies! Happy Sunday! I hope that this post finds you all well and healthy. It’s quite evident that #quarantinelife is going to be the new normal for at least the foreseeable future. I pray that it subsides sooner than later, but in the meantime, I’m doing my part to keep myself and others healthy. I am also trying to maintain normalcy with wearing my outfits and getting dressed.
I will say that I have started to incorporate more casual looks into my everyday wear. Y’all know that I love my heels! However, with things essentially shut down, there’s not too much of a need for anything else these days. I’m a firm believer, though, that casual does not have to mean plain or frumpy. You can definitely have an elevated look that is still comfortable. A great base or starting point is with a pair of well-fitting jeans. Then, you can simply build from there depending on your vibe.
I opted for a cropped lightweight jacket in this rich olive green. I picked it up right before retail stores shut down and I’m so glad I did. It was a great Winter-to-Spring transition piece that you can style many different ways. This look is of course one way, but you can put a maxi dress under this, a short, flowy dress, even a black pencil skirt and sneakers. It’s always great to get a lot of wear out of your pieces (especially when they are so affordable!).
