It’s almost here ladies! The first day of Spring is March 20th so it’s time to shake off those Winter blues. Spring is literally and figuratively a breath of fresh air. The flowers start to bloom, the sun shines a little bit longer and best of all, the fashion gets a little brighter.
Color blocking is one of my favorite things to do all year round. There are endless combinations to choose from. However, Spring is one of the seasons where it comes out the most. All of the beautiful shades and colors inspire me to mix and match. Hence this look, that combines a vibrant magenta skirt with a bright aqua blouse. Classic color block at its best.
Pencil skirts are, as you all know, one of my favorite garments. So, this one from INC International Concepts was right up my alley. It’s a scuba material so it has a good amount of stretch (a necessary component). The blouse is a great staple to wear with pretty much any type of bottom.
I finished off the look with matching high heels sandals from one of my favorite places to shop for shoes, Nordstrom Rack! They have such an amazing selection with high quality shoes at a fraction of the price. This is the first of, I’m sure, many color block looks for Spring and beyond.

Can you please advise on how you manage to keep your belly look so flat ? Thank you.
Thank you so much Riana. Congratulations on the new belly. Honestly, my stomach isn’t that flat, I just try to wear flattering styles and I wear shapewear. You can check out my post on my favorite brands here: https://trendycurvy.com/2019/01/27/shape-it-up/
