Sometimes the simplest garments can create the best looks. There’s just something about minimalist style that totally echoes the saying “less is more”. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m all for the frills and the pizzazz that some looks have but great quality garments often times shine on their own.
This dress from Eileen Fisher’s line available at Bloomingdales is inherently simple. However, there are some noteworthy details that help to bring this piece to life. One of the first things that I noticed is the color. The emerald green is impossible to miss and gives this dress a very rich, luxe feel. It falls in line perfectly with the color palette of Fall and the deep jewel tones that this season is iconic for. Then, there’s the high low hem with the side slit. This is probably my favorite part of the dress. The side slit is an understated sexy showing off just a bit of the gams. And the high low hem adds a big of drama with the back part of the dress swaying in the wind as you walk. All of these things together are the makings of a chic dress.
To complete the look, I went with black faux suede booties and a matching fedora. Since we are officially in Fall I thought these two accessories best fit the overall look as well as the season. And with that, my look was ready to hit the streets!
