I think that it’s safe to say that I love pencil skirts. If it wasn’t already completely obvious, now you know for sure. Pencil skirts are just a classic design that will never go out of style. They are also super versatile and can be worn with many looks taking you from day to night. The great thing about this garment is that the style possibilities are endless. The term “pencil skirt” is really just a base description. Colors, prints and fabric can enhance and transform to make each one unique. They are definitely a must-have staple in your wardrobe.
Since Summer is still in effect, I’m still in full blown color mode. So what better way to showcase that than with a highlighter yellow fitted pencil skirt! Temperatures are still quite high here in Los Angeles so I kept it really simple with a plain white tank top. Then, in true Kristine fashion, I needed something that would take this look over the edge. My solution is and always will be an unexpected pop of color. I recently received these peach colored pumps from a Stitch Fix box and had to have them. The translucent heel was such a fun detail that really set these a part. I just so happen to have a cross body bag that complimented the shoes perfectly and brought it all together. This color combination is one that I never would have thought of but somehow it just works.
In conclusion, the moral of the story is pencil skirts will always be my favorite and new color pairings make fashion just peachy!
