There’s nothing better than a sleek LBD in your closet. One that you can count on to wear for almost any event and occasion. Well ladies, this dress from City Chic is one of those LBDs! There are so many things that I love about this dress. The first, and probably most obvious, are the polka dots. How adorable is the mesh polka dot overlay?! It’s subtle in that it keeps within the all black color scheme of the dress. However, because it is mesh, it adds a super chic design element that makes the dress that much more special.
I also love the high-low hem that flows away from the body and further highlights the mesh. It gives the dress so much life and movement that glides in the wind as you walk. It’s also very flattering for the dress to be fitted throughout the waist and then expand out to give you a really nice silhouette.
Like all LBDs, this dress is super versatile. I wanted to garment to shine so I kept my styling pretty simple. However, I could wear this over and over in different ways to suit the occasion. For instance, I could rock a simple moto jacket and booties for a more edgy look. I could also wear this dress with a blazer and pumps for a more sophisticated look. However, I decide to style it, the most important thing is that I have options. Plus, this is a great transition piece as we head into the heart of Fall and into Winter. All around, this is a great dress to own if you are looking to ramp up the classics in your wardrobe!
